  Q. Are most synthetic turf surfaces similar? 

A. Most certainly not! Our TargaPro synthetic bent putting green material is specifically designed and made for putting greens. The stabilized woven polypropylene is made to our custom compounded specifications. The face yarn type, denier (width of the "blade"), as well as the primary and secondary backings - combined with the tufting gauge and stitch rate is superior to any other materials available today.  Challenger Industries, manufacturer of our Envy Lawn products, has been perfecting synthetic turf surfaces for over 25 years. Their continual development based on the feedback from real world usage has propelled the products they manufacture to the pinnacle of excellence. There are no finer products on the market.

 Q. What Infill materials does TargaPro use?
A. The TargaPro infill material is a custom composition of premium washed, shaped and graded silica sand combined with just the right amount of crumb rubber to deliver the correct ball absorption - providing true bounce and true roll.  It is the reason that knowledgeable golfers and professionals alike choose TargaPro golf greens over other providers.
 Q. How long does the green last? 
A. This depends partly on wear, but for any non-commercial use it is a very long time. Of course, the foundation under the green is natural materials, like rock so it will last far longer than most buildings. The material is warranted by the manufacturer to last for 8 years, but practically speaking it can easily last 2 or 3 times that long.
 Q. How long will the color last? 
A. All our products have built-in UV protection solution to protect the color from ultra violet sun radiation under even the most demanding conditions. TargaPro warrants the turf from any manufacturing defect for 8 years.
 Q. What maintenance is required?
A. A TargaPro putting green is virtually maintenance free. The only recommended maintenance is rolling to increase speed, and raking to reduce speed. We recommend cleaning leaves, twigs or any other natural material with a common power leaf blower. A rake or broom is suitable also. Naturally, there is no mowing, seeding, fertilizing, thatching or aeration required whatsoever.
 Q. How long does installation take?
A. An average size backyard putting green(between 360 and 540 square feet)usually takes less than a week. Depending on workload scheduling the start date for your green will usually be within 2 (or perhaps 3) weeks of your order. If cold weather causes the ground to freeze, or there is an extraordinary amount of rain, this can sometimes contribute to longer lead times. We work with customers to be sure we coordinate with their finish landscaping plans for each green to ensure the final product will be as beautiful as possible.
 Q. What about pets? 
A. Pets will not harm the TargaPro synthetic putting green surfaces; however, the surface is impervious, which means liquids do not seep through. So, although pets will not hurt the surface our putting greens are not recommended to use as a place for pets. If your pet uses your putting green to do its' "business", just pick up and hose off the residue.  The surface will not stain and it cleans easily with a hose.
